Anders: I am still looking for an embeddable calendar "which is built in the spirit of a wiki, to make entries in the calendar directly from my website without having to go back to the administrator’s interface". Are you guys still thinking about adding this?

Thanks,

Anders: Thanks for the reply. When you get the edit / add event functionalities into your system, I would like to switch to using it. It seems to me that this would be a very attractive feature for website builders.

Thanks,

Harry Forsdick: While Google Calendar has its focus on managing internal schedules, we have our focus on delivering a calendar for webmasters to use on their site. We will refrain ourselves from creating a personal planner application and focus solely on adding value for the webmaster wanting to show his date-related content in a smart way.

We have noted your very nice wiki idea. Having edit and adding functionalities inside the frontend (and not he administrators backend) is something we have already discussed and been wanting to implement. We however chose to launch the first version of the calendar without it in order to create an as clean product as possible.

How is this different from Google Calendar -- i.e., is it possible to embed your calendar in my website and allow viewers of my website, which is built in the spirit of a wiki, to make entries in the calendar directly from my website without having to go back to the administrator's interface? That is something I can't do with GCal which if you could allow me to do, I would switch over to use your product.

Thanks,

     Harry
